Great writing, Patrick. Gardening is very fulfilling, watching things grow. I'll take your advice.

Start a garden, plants trees, a diversity of trees, food crop trees to feed wildlife and perhaps some for you, work to build the Earth back to its former glory. Humans of all stripes have drawn down natural succession so far I believe it can 'no longer occur on its own during the rest of humanity's time', which has been shortened because of the damages.

We have to do this.

This is the first year I have grown enough vegetables to feed myself all year long, healthy food, grown on soil that also increased in fertility.

This food I am eating did not damage the biology to grow it, its a positive, all other human grown food is a negative on the planet.

tink about dat wood ya.
