I have been diligently working on a photographic book that should be complete in a few weeks. Almost all of the photographs were taken in the last two months since i have been here in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. I have developed a few different styles over my long photographic career and in the last years with all of the worlds population now photographers, i focused on a few unpopular techniques. The two here are: reflections of water surfaces, reversed for a surreal abstract impression; the other is images created to give a blurry fantasy chimera look, spirits leaving, light moving dispersing bending twisting fading into an unknown realm.
Santa Muerte, ‘Saint Death’ unique to Mexico, The ‘Lady Of Shadows’ fit perfectly into my narration of death and the mystery, an imagery to convey such a journey towards a territory we all imagine, but it shall forever remain a mystery…. the holy death, the shadow of shadows, Saint Death.

Can’t wait to see the final draft. It’s a beautiful subject, one which we all think about intensely and sometimes avoid even more intensely.
